Fall Chestnut Harvest 2024
Closed for the season.
Thank you all for your incredible support and enthusiasm this season! We wanted to let you know that chestnut harvesting at Wyoming Farm is officially finished for the year, and we’ll be CLOSED this weekend, October 26 & 27.
Your visits and love for the fall harvest have meant so much to us! We’re grateful to be a part of your autumn traditions and can’t wait to welcome you back next year.
Wishing everyone a cozy, wonderful fall season, and see you next year!
The Experience
Imagine an autumn treasure hunt, where shiny chestnuts are hidden beneath the fallen leaves, waiting to be discovered.
Much like an Easter egg hunt, you’ll wander through the orchard, gathering chestnuts that have naturally dropped from the trees. The excitement of spotting these glossy gems on the ground makes it a delightful and rewarding adventure for families.
Kids love the thrill of the search, and it’s a great way to get outside, enjoy the crisp fall air, and connect with nature!
Additional Information
Chestnut-related supplies, local honey, and handmade goods will be available for purchase on weekends.
Weekday appointments are available for a more quiet and relaxed chestnut-picking experience—just reach out to schedule!
Please note that the chestnut harvest is weather and crop dependent, so be sure to check our page for updates before heading out.
We can't wait to welcome you to the farm for an unforgettable fall season!

We strongly recommend wearing sturdy, closed-toed shoes. Chestnut hulls, the spiky shells that protect the nuts, can be sharp, so it's important to keep your feet safe. Gloves and a hat are also recommended.
Additionally, be sure to apply plenty of sunscreen and bug repellent, as ticks can still be active this time of year. Don't forget your reusable water bottles to stay hydrated while you're out in the orchard!
-
Absolutely! It’s a lot like an Easter egg hunt—kids are great at spotting the shiny chestnuts hidden in the grass. Since the chestnut hulls (the spiky outer shells) can be sharp, we ask that children get an adult's help if they find any nuts still in their hulls for safety.
-
Yes, we provide parking in a grass lot.
